Amazing way to start the day

So before all of the eating, I headed out to Laketown for Marylynns Turkey Trot and Waddle, We started from her house at 8:15am and made our way out to beach down the beach all the way to the sand bowl. I wanted to really work so I ran pretty much the entire time, down to the Laketown stairs up/down then to the bowl, went down the backside and then back up and then up the dune on the other side to the swing. My heart was pumping and was breathing hard, but it was an Amazing way to start the day. 

At the End Marylynn Gave everyone little paper medals :)

Thanks Giving


I want to wish Everyone a Wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. 

AND Challenge You to get outside and go for run....... The weather is super nice this week so we should all take advantage of it. 


                                                     

Last Weekend we Ran the GVSU Turkey Trot 5K, to Raise Money and Food for the GR Kids Basket. Thank You to those that Donated Food. We had a fun time Running and the weather was Perfect. 
Want to Burn off some Excess holiday Calories? a 5k is a great way, and there are many to choose from. Check these out right here in Holland and Grand Rapids.

This is a casual fun run to celebrate the once in a lifetime 12.12.12.

The runners will run 2 loops around Windmill Island and Window on the

Feel free to run a shorter distance. Please park in the lot east of Pizza Hut or in the
city parking structure west of Freedom Village and walk down to the train station.

Why:
Because I was at my Happy Weight, Feeling Good, Running Strong, Feeling Confident, Loving, Living, Laughing. All my friends were around and my stress level was very low, I had very few worries. 

I am posting it just as a reminder to my self, of why I eat healthy, exercise, take time for my self, and the things in life that helped me feel that way.

Before you gather around the table for your Thanksgiving feast, come out for a Thanksgiving Day morning adventure, including stairs, beach, and dunes. This is not a 5k, or 10k or competitive run or race. It is just an opportunity for like-minded, fun-loving adventurous people to enjoy a morning together exploring our beautiful area, and did I mention getting some exercise! How much you get will be determined on how much you want to eat! Laketown stairs…..? Optional! Our goal is to summit the Laketown Sand bowl! Kid friendly, dog friendly, bring gramma and grampa too!
All this fun for free!

The details:
We will gather at 8:00am for an 8:15am start together, walk or jog, trot or waddle. An out and back course so you can really go your own pace. Total distance, maybe 3 1/2 miles. Opportunity for the compulsive to do stairs and dune climb more than once! Also, did I mention the Disneyland type swing ride off the top of the Dune?

Didn't Really Plan on This..... But its a good thing

Did not really Plan on Starting the Chalean Extreme workout, but we started doing it at work on lunch with a few ladies, and I really Liked it. I was just doing burn intervals once a week because that is all I had time for but this week I have been able to do all the works out so far. So I got a copy of the DVD's and I am going to Stick with it. I am down a few pounds from my Rejuvenation Detox, so I hope to continue and loose a few more. (Back to my pre-married weight). I also want to start working out in the morning again, I used to all the time and then my schedule changed and got a bit goofed up.
