So This was shared on Facebook the other day and I sent it to myself because I thought it was a good reminder of why we need balance and moderation.

Park #1- Mt. Pisgah
#Parksandplaces #Lovetomovemi
Sara and I have decided that this summer we want to get to as many West MI County park and Trails as we can. We love to adventure and hike so this should be fun !!
Park #1 Mt. Pisgah
Just before you get to Holland State Park there are 200+ Stairs, plus trails Hidden in the woods. Talk about a leg burner.
I had an extra day off from work so Sara and ventured out to the stairs for a little workout, we went up and down the stairs 3 times and ran the trials in the woods for a total of about 4 miles.

Bayshore Marathon Re-cap
Pre-Race I was very careful with my eating and exercise in the week leading up to the Marathon, I did not want to have any tummy trouble or sore muscles.
A running group friend graciously offered their cottage as a place for us to stay while in Traverse City for the Marathon. This was the view from the cottage the night before. It was so beautiful and calming...

We were up at 5:10 AM and headed out the door at 5:45 for that start !! There were 3 People Running the 10K and 6 Running the Marathon. Jobie and I at the Start !!! Here we GO !!
We ditched a few layers at this point !! The view along the course was AMAZING !! we got to enjoy the breeze off the bay and this beautiful view pretty much the entire race.
Mile 20 Something !! Nancy so kindly biked by me for a few miles and got a few pictures, she even got me smiling. Sara even found me on the course for the last few miles and kept me company as well. (Best Sister Ever) I actually kind of found a new gear headed into the finish line.. I was tired and a little achy at that point but when I saw the finish I knew I wanted to finish strong !! I managed to pick up the pace and stride in smoothly. My Amazing family even drove up to TC that morning to be at the finish !! Love them

Wet and Rainy Monday ...
Hello,
I hope that your week is off to a good start so far. Yesterday was a gray and rainy day here. It did give me the opportunity to but out my poke-dot umbrella though. Which added a splash of color to the otherwise gray sky's. It wasn't so bad though, I went out for lunch with my Mom, Sister and Grandma at the Alpen Rose and then had Girls on the Run, and lead Fit By Nature.

These Girls just crack me up.. Regan was sporting this fun hat yesterday at GOTR HAHA so much fun. We actually spent out practice making signs for our GOTR Fundraiser Groove this coming Saturday. These Girls are so creative they were make some super cute invites.
The Rain did stop for a little while and we were able to get in our a pretty good Fit By Nature workout. We did get drizzled on a little bit but it wasn't to bad. I said we needed to take picture by the Tulips on Windmill island and so I said to do squats .. well not the best picture .. HAHA it kind of looks like everyone is going to sit right on top of the Tulips Whoops.. I did get a few good pictures though.
Sara totally stepped in mud and sunk down to her knees so she had to wash off in a puddle hahaha Oh the adventures that we have..

25K Recap
Fifth Third River Bank Run 25K 2015
Well it was a Rainy Saturday morning but at least it was warm. With our Trash bag rain coats we headed out to GR for the 5/3 RBR 25K.
The Start was busy but not too crowed, with an 8:30 Start time it was light out but kind of gray and cloudy b/c of the rain. The Harder rain stopped by the time the race started but it was still really wet out. Sara and I ran together the entire race. Our First 1/2 was pretty speedy and our second half was ok, there are more hills on the 2nd 1/2 of the course so we lost some time on our pace. Overall we finished in 2:05:12, 8:04 pace not to bad.
Two medals they did a special dual medal for if you did the Gazelle Girl 1/2 Marathon and the 5/3rd 25K, It was fun to pick up both medals.
